By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Who runs this site
MalvinasFacts is an independent project edited by Juan Ignacio Vera. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any government, ministry, international organisation, university or other institution.
What the site is, and is not
MalvinasFacts is a reference resource on the Malvinas (Falkland Islands) sovereignty dispute. It is not legal advice, a legal filing, or an evidentiary record, and using it does not create any professional or client relationship. Anything you rely on for legal, diplomatic, journalistic or academic purposes should be checked against the primary sources cited on each page. See About & Methodology for how content is sourced and how countries are classified.
Accuracy
Every factual claim is meant to cite a verifiable source, and the project works to keep its content correct, but errors, omissions and out-of-date information are possible. The International Position Tracker records the positions its sources show on the dates shown; a country's position may have changed since, and a country that is not listed, or is shown as neutral, may nonetheless hold a position that is not recorded here. The content is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
Third-party material and links
The site quotes and summarises United Nations documents, government statements, court decisions, press reports and other material for the purposes of reference, criticism and research. That material remains the property of its respective owners. Links to other websites are provided for verification only: the project does not control those sites and does not endorse their content, and they may change or disappear.
Using and citing the content
You are welcome to read, link to and cite the site. Original text and the way the material is selected and arranged are © MalvinasFacts. Short quotations with attribution and a link back are welcome; reproducing substantial parts requires permission. Please do not present the content as official, or as endorsed by any government, institution or person, and do not use automated tools in a way that degrades the service for others.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the editor is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, this site or the sites it links to.
Privacy
The site uses aggregate, cookieless analytics and does not collect personal data; see the Privacy section of About & Methodology.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
